I know none of the people reading this blog deal with feeling like they are entitled, but some of us may be in our comfort zone. We may be in places where we can operate on cruise control. And in the words of Mystikal...."DANGER!, Watch Yourself, Don't mess around and get beside yourself!!
Most of us have heard the story about Daniel in the Lions Den; the biblical story about a Hebrew man tossed in a den of lions and made it out unscathed. Without getting too into the story, Daniel was in the lion's den because he refused to go along to get along. He made the choice to be excellent and do something GREAT even when he knew it would be easier to maintain the status quo. His decision created some challenges he couldn't have possibly foreseen, but the end result was him beating the pants off his competition!!

We stay in our comfort zone because it's comfortable! Plus we feel we have worked hard enough to coast, we might be afraid of the hard work or failure, or we might be bored. To combat the danger of living in the comfort zone, Judith Bardwick suggested we:
- Break the feeling of Entitlement - all you are owed is an equal opportunity based on your merit
- Break away from your Fears - Do not be afraid to work hard and think out of the box. Matter of fact don't just think out of the box, GET OUT OF THE BOX!
- Be revitalized - allow creative energy to set up true entitlement... the kind you earn
we all need a few of these in our lives.Being excellent and GREAT is different. If you want something different, you have to do something different. Be willing to be uncomfortable, it leads to breaking down barriers and insecurities.
